All I can say is wow. The new Ray-Ban round metal camouflage sunglasses are my newest obsession.
I just came back from lunch with a friend at Dig Inn in Rye Brook. The food and company were excellent. If you haven’t tried it yes, I encourage you to go. Mid-meal I noticed an incredible accessory hooked onto the front of her shirt. Better than a necklace, it was these amazing new sunglasses. Now, those of you who know me know I have acquired a bit of a glasses and sunglasses obsession. I blame it on turning 40.
When I turned 40 I visited with my eye doctor (who is also a friend) Dr. Zlatin at Eye-Q optometry. He explained to me that although I had 20-20 vision at that point this luxury was fleeting. He explained that by fifty I would need a serious prescription. Boy was he right. I’m 44 now and sometimes believe my ‘friends and family’ send me texts to my apple watch just to see me struggle. It really feels like a bad prank that the message is right there but I cannot see it. I love my eye Doctor and I love the products they carry but I’m a bit angry at my eyes for betraying me.
As an aside, I need to know how people keep their glasses from constantly being dirty. I am cleaning them all the time. Eye-Q carries an amazing gadget (and you all know I love gadgets) called Peeps (no not the candy but those are pretty amazing too) that makes the lenses crystal clear. I love my peeps but wish I didn’t have to use them quite so much.
The good news is that I have been introduced to a whole new world of everyday glasses. The bad news is that they are not inexpensive. I adore sunglasses and adding the progressive prescriptions lenses has made me think twice about the amount of sunglasses I purchase each year.
Needless to say I am waiting on a pair to come in right now. Adding another pair right now seems downright glutenous. That being said look at how beautiful they are. I feel they are a must have for summer. Maybe I’m insane but I love camo and I love these glasses.
How many pair of sunglasses do you have? Write to me in the comments section and tell me about them.
