I’m sure your are thinking that this title is so bizarre. Do these things have anything in common? Well, yes…they are two things that bring a smile to my face in the dead of winter.
For anyone out there that is in need of nurturing something, I cannot tell you how much love this little puppy has brought into my life in just 3 short days. Welcome Bella!
Bella has helped me to make my home a cozy, warm place that I want to spend more time in. Her joyful nature and sweet puppy kisses melt my heart any hour of the day or night.
So, as you know I’ve been doing the 80 day obsession program (Beachbody). The workouts are insane. I love that there are different video’s for each of the 80 days- makes me feel like I am a part of a boutique class without leaving the house (and the puppy).
As for the eating, after day 15, I’m trying to be more creative with my meals and shakeology. Today my good friend introduced me to these protein pancakes/crepes. They are amazing!!!
Here’s the recipe:
I took my new stand up mixer (arrived this weekend) and added the following ingredients:
- 1 scoop of vanilla shakeology (other powders may not work as well- I just made with Vega One and it was a yucky green mess)
- 2/3 cup of egg beaters (or egg whites)
- 1 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 tbsp coconut flour (add more or less depending on the consistency you prefer)
- Mix until there are no more lumps.
Place a small amount of butter (or spray with pam) in a pan. When the pan is hot add the mixture. I made 2 batches so my crepes were thinner. Cook until edges are a little burnt and crispy.
